'Set Free' is the standout number here that delightfully drives along at pace and was what initially attracted the attention of label owner DEMi. With an immediate comparison to a previous house classic 'David James - Always' which featured on the iconic 'Back to Basics' compilation by Danny Tenaglia, Set Free is an epic groove train that
warms the soul and senses. It simply sounds so good'Get Down, Stay Down' is a matured approach full of a vibe that effortlessly swirls with funk and laid-back vibes. Still very much influenced by the classic sounds of Sneak, Farina and Carter, this is a sleeping tiger waiting to be unleashed.
'Serenity' follows suit and as the name suggests, there is an ethereal mood sprinkled over more funk laden grooves by the duo. Both cuts are vintage B-side numbers that grow on you with each listen and sound relevant today, tomorrow and for years to come.Angelis is the final inclusion and is the deeper cut provided by JammHot. Shades of Vangelis are evident here as the track glides but doesn't drift too far into the unknown.
It's a sound that's both reflective and progressive and which will sound relevant in years to come.
